Building Health, Hope, and Community
Who WE Are?
HEAL Outreach Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to help individuals and communities heal from the effects of incarceration, addiction, poverty, homelessness, abuse, and lack of education. We believe that everyone deserves a chance to restore their dignity, self-worth, and potential through faith-based therapy and supportive services.
Our mission
To provide holistic and compassionate care to our clients, who are often marginalized and stigmatized by society. Our goal is to offer a range of programs and services, such as:
Counseling and mentoring: We provide individual and group counseling, as well as peer mentoring, to address the emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational needs of our clients. We use evidence-based and faith-based approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and 12-step recovery.
Education and employment: We help our clients access educational opportunities, such as GED classes, vocational training, college courses, and scholarships. We also assist them with finding and maintaining employment, as well as developing essential skills, such as resume writing, interviewing, and financial literacy.
Housing and transportation: We assist in finding transitional and permanent housing options for our clients, as well as assistance with rent, utilities, and furniture. We also offer transportation services, such as bus passes, and assistance with obtaining driver's licenses.
Health and wellness: We promote the physical health and well-being of our clients by providing medical referrals, nutrition education, fitness classes, and recreational activities.
Family and community: We support the family reunification and reintegration of our clients by offering family counseling, parenting classes, and family events. We also foster a sense of community and belonging among our clients by organizing social outings, volunteer opportunities, and support groups.
Our vision
To see our clients transform their lives and become productive and positive members of society. We measure our impact by tracking the following outcomes:
Reduced recidivism: We aim to reduce the rate of re-offending and re-incarceration among our clients by providing them with the tools and resources to cope with stressors and challenges in a healthy way.
Increased recovery: We aim to increase the rate of sobriety and abstinence among our clients by providing them with the support and guidance to overcome their addictions and dependencies.
Improved quality of life: We aim to improve the overall quality of life of our clients by providing them with the opportunities and assistance to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.
We are seeking funding from various sources, such as grants, donations, sponsorships, fundraisers, and partnerships. We have a dedicated team of staff members, board members, volunteers, and advisors who are committed to our cause and values. We have a strong reputation in the community and a loyal base of supporters and partners.
We invite you to join us in our journey of healing and hope. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Statement of Faith
HEAL Outreach Inc. is a non-profit organization that seeks to follow Jesus and the Christian lifestyle in serving the needs of our community. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who died and rose again for the forgiveness of our sins and the restoration of our relationship with God. We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative word of God, which reveals God's will and purpose for humanity. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the presence and power of God in our lives, who guides, convicts, comforts and empowers us to live as God's children. We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have faith in Jesus and are called to worship, fellowship, serve and witness together. We believe that God's love and grace are for everyone, regardless of race, gender, age, culture, background or condition. We believe that God calls us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We believe that God has a plan and a purpose for each of our lives, and that He invites us to join Him in His mission of healing, reconciliation and transformation in the world.
